clASSIFICATION OF OUR FILM - LULLABYE
We have decided to rate our film 'Lullabye' as an age rating of 12A, we are basing our age rating on the film 'The Woman in Black' as their content are similar such as the focus on children being innocent but yet always being the age group that are affected or cursed. Having a child cursed adds the plot as you wouldn't really think much of an innocent child; Therefore drawing the audience into what is actually behind it.
After the film is released onto home screening, then we will raise the age rating to 15, as this is what 'The Woman in Black' did for theirs - This film has the same content as 'Lullabye' has and this is a good age barrier to keep it at.
12A Age Rating - What is allowed?
12A Age Rating are only suitable for children above the age of 12, or if they are below 12 are accompanied by an adult aged at least 18 years of age.
Here is a list of things are are allowed in this age rating:
Sexual activity may be used, but very briefly and secretly portrayed and Sexual violence may be briefly indicated.
We are using this type of age rating as we are implying moderate violence as the child has not been brought up well as she's by herself in a forest/playground with no one there to supervise her.
