Opening credits order
Opening credits have a special order in which they appear. Films generally have a very standardised way of showing credits. In older films the credits would just be white letters scrolling up onto a black background. These days, many opening credits take a more creative approach, for example our main inspiration, A Nightmare On Elm Street which has its titles written on the ground with chalk to represent their use of children in their film.
In traditional sense, the opening credits start with the distribution company and end with the director. The rest of the film makers come after sometimes, but rarely they are in a slightly different order for example The Grudge.
The order of credits is determined by guild rules, SAG, the DGA and WGA and other unions.
