Our Inspirations.
A Nightmare on Elm Street - 2010
We are using A Nightmare on Elm Street - 2010as inspiration because it is a film based around children, which is what we would like to base our opening title sequence around. We can look at the way the children are presented to use in our opening sequence to ensure that we have a good idea of how they an behave and speak. The shots in this opening title sequence are useful to us because we have used a similar method to make our opening title sequence. This meant that we could look at A Nightmare On Elm Street - 2010 to get inspiration for ours.

Snow White & The Huntsman - 2012
Snow White & The Huntsman - 2010 is another fairy tale based film, this film is also an inspiration to our sequence as once again we could analyse the behaviour and characteristics shown to children through the characters. The modernisation of this film also helps us to examine the difference between the fairy tale and the modern film so that we can ensure to get the right image for our opening title sequence.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters - 2013
Hansel and Gretel is a well known fairy tale, once again a base to our inspiration for our sequence. This fairy tale shows us a different element to the children in previous fairy tales, the children in this fairy tale are useful to us because they offer a different characteristic and personality than the child in Red Riding Hood. this enables us to look at different types of children and gain a greater knowledge to be able to add into our character's personality.

Grimm's Fairy Tales
Grimm's Fairy Tales is a series of stories based on the 'real' and 'original' fairy tales that are less childish. We can use these stories to find out how fairy tale characters' can be portrayed in a 'horror styled' way, great for our horror sequence.
