Our PITCH - lULLABYE
We have used the specific opening titles sequences from the films below. Our opening title sequence will involve Chloe's little sister Ashley. We have used her as she looks very innocent and you wouldn't really think much of her. She's going to wear a plain white 'Victorian-looking' nightie, which makes it very mysterious as she's wearing it outside in a playground/forest. We've used very basic props such as fake blood, a scary looking victorian era antique doll that Ashley will keep with her at all times. We will also use mealworms for the tea party and an antique tea party set. We will use the whole idea of everything being old-fashioned as if it is the victorian era (19th Century -1800s).
There will not be any dialogue used at all, we are just using sound effects and a background music piece with someone singing the nursery rhyme 'Ring and Ring a Roses' this shows the innocence in children and nursery rhymes are suppose to be very happy and spoke to children just before they sleep. The idea this comes from 'A Nightmare on Elm street', where Freddy Krueger attacks the children in their dreams.
We are basing our location in Churchdown as it's very accessible to everyone in the group, but also because we are using Chloe's house as the main mise-en-scene. Her house is very big and victorian looking from the outside. Using this as a tracking shot will show the audience the mise-en-scene. We will also use Churchdown Skatepark as the second mise-en-scene as it involves a children's playground which is all very innocent and happy looking, with a forest that backs off the playground. We will use the forest to let Ashley skip off with the doll until she finishes with a sudden spook to break the tension altogether.
The opening title sequence will start off with our names of what we did, for example: 'Starring Ashley Thompson' written in chalk on gravel - reminiscing a children's playground. It will then cut to parts of the tea party where Ashley will be joined by her victorian scary looking doll, drinking blood from the teapot and eating mealworms. It will then carry on to Ashley hiding in the trees to appearing suddenly on the swings emotionless. The gate swings open by itself where the doll appears for Ashley to pick it up and skip off into the unknown. She disappears behinds the trees and comes closer, and closer to the camera until she stops. She stops and turns to the camera slowly and walks off. The music stops and Ashley pops out of nowhere with a heavy, jumpy sound, trailing off into the darkness.

nIGHTMARE ON eLM sTREET
We have decided to base our idea on 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' as the main focus of the film is based around children. Children normally; being the innocent age range in films generally. If the child is affected or cursed, it makes it more tense and emotional if something happens to that child.
We have also used the idea of using 'hopscotch' and other children's props to use in our opening title sequence. We have decided to use an old, scary looking doll and an antique victorian era tea party set that will also be a main mise-en-scene throughout the OTS.
