Initial practice shots
So far, we have filmed the names written on the ground using chalk, the hop-scotch scene, the swing, the fence opening by itself, the doll and the little girl skipping. We filmed most of it in Chloe's house and in the field behind Churchdown Park. The hop-scotch and the chalk scene were filmed at Churchdown School in the court yard. We have a lot of bloopers as it took us a few shots of everything until it turned out the way we wanted it to.
We re-filmed the names written on the floor with chalk as our names needed to be in the opening title sequence and having them written in chalk looked effective as it relates to children and schools. We got the idea of chalk from nightmare on elm street which is also about children, so we knew it would work.
We practiced a variety of different shots to see what ones looked effective and what ones didn't.. For example we filmed the gate opening by itself over 10 times because we needed to get it perfectly right to look effective and spooky.
We put on youtube our first initial video to see what people thought on it and we decided that it needeed a lot of work done to it.

We thought about what new shots could build more tention, make the video longer and how to make it more scarier. We decided that it needed to contain blood at some point as blood is very popular in horror. We also decied that we wanted the doll to be more involved in the sequence and to put together more of a story to keep the audience intregued.
