Title choices and connotations
When choosing a title for our horror film, we used social media to get an idea of what people of our age thought would be an effective title for us to use. We used FluidSurveys to create a questionnaire.
We then shared it through facebook. and gained a lot of helpful responses which aided us in our decision to use Lullabye as our title.

Connotations of lullabye
Our opening title sequence, Lullabye represents children as the real word 'lullaby' is a type of song that parents sing to their children to get them to go to sleep. We thought this was a good idea for our OTS as ours is about children and we incluced a real lullaby in it too.
Children and children singing is a sign of innocence which is partly what our horror is also about, using a sweet, innocent looking girl and turning her into a creepy, possessed child.

Children usually consider playgrounds and nurserys a safe place, so using those safe places and making bad things happen in them plays with emotions and makes it seem scary and the feeling of having no where that is safe from the evil.
We chose the title 'Lullabye' instead of 'Lullaby' because it emphasises the 'BYE' as a sign of 'goodbye' as if something has gone and cannot come back for example death or loss of something which are some of the worst fears that people can have.
